Everything started in 2020, when Nissan has shared 13 houses with photovoltaics after one electric Leafa. In the vehicle package, they received the right charging station allowing not only to load the auto from the Sun, but also to store energy and give any surplus to the public network or supply domestic devices.
This is possible thanks to Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology that is a key element of the I-REZEP project co-financed by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure with a quota of 2.39 million euro.
"Electric cars should be loaded when electricity from wind or sun is available," says Stefan Sonntag, the E-Mobility Manager in Now GmbH, the Federal Agency of the Ministry of Transport. "I-Rezept tests a solution to use energy not only for ecological driving, but also to power your own home" - adds.
The project will be continued, also not excluded that there will be a larger number of participants. However, the legal solutions that would make such solutions are profitable for the user. It remains to be aware that the static institution involved will facilitate the penetration of higher subsidies for loading infrastructure and storage systems and energy management.
